Texas Behavioral Health and Justice Technical Assistance Center
The Technical Assistance Center (TA) Center provides free, specialized technical assistance for behavioral health and justice professionals to reduce and prevent justice involvement for people with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Purpose
Established in 2022 by the Texas HHSC Office of Forensic Coordination, the TA Center connects Texans with resources related to behavioral health and justice services. The TA Center supports people working in Texas’ behavioral health and justice systems, as well as people with lived experience in these systems.
Services
The TA Center provides free training and guidance, also known as technical assistance, on many behavioral health and justice topics.
