Funding Opportunity: FY25 Improving Adult and Youth Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Program
The Bureau of Justice Assistance recently announced a new funding opportunity, FY25 Improving Adult and Youth Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Program.Â
This funding opportunity aims to support state, local, and tribal governments, as well as community-based nonprofit organizations, in fostering collaboration among criminal and juvenile justice agencies, mental health and substance use agencies, community-based reentry service organizations, and behavioral health providers.Â
The program's goal is to improve clinical stabilization before trial, during confinement, and to ensure a smooth transition to the community. This will be achieved through evidence-based activities and services for individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Additionally, the funding seeks to reduce the likelihood of crises and enhance recovery outcomes for individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders who are currently involved in or reentering from the criminal or juvenile justice systems.
The closing date to apply for the funding opportunity through Grants.gov is February 24, 2025, and for JustGrants is March 3, 2025.Â
