Georgetown Police Department's Mental Health Unit Sees Success

In early 2024, the Georgetown Police Department launched its mental health unit after receiving approval from the City Council. Officer Keely Wolf, one of the unit's leaders, explained that the goal is to relieve busy patrol officers of some of their responsibilities. The team currently consists of four officers who have completed specialized mental health training as required by the state.
