Hope of South Texas Named Recipient of Grant Award

May 8, 2024

Hope of South Texas' Child Advocacy Center is a recipient of a grant award from the Texas Bar Foundation worth $8,686. The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably-funded bar founded in the country. Funds granted from the Texas Bar Foundation will be used to cover Crimes Against Children conference expenses for employees of the Hope Center as well as a possible MDT partner.

Attending this conference aligns with the Hope Center's mission and goals and provides the opportunity for the organization's staff to stay informed on identifying, reporting, interviewing, advocating for, and treatment of victims.

Hope of South Texas was established in January 2002 to assist in combating child abuse by partnering with Law Enforcement Agencies, Texas Department of Family & Protective Services -- Children's Protective Investigations, District Attorneys, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, and Mental Health Professionals.
