Inaugural Summit Conference Aims to Strengthen Partnerships Between Mental Health and Justice Systems

HHSC Forensic and Jail Diversion Services will host the inaugural Summit Conference on August 14-15, 2025. The event will take place at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in San Marcos, Texas.  

The free, two-day conference aims to unite mental health professionals, justice system partners, and community stakeholders from across Texas. The Summit’s goal is to bridge existing gaps and foster collaboration between community and government systems at the intersection of mental health and the justice system.

The conference will include:

• Networking opportunities and activities.

• Discussions to address local and national challenges. 

• Strategies to develop practical solutions.

• Physical and digital resources.

Conference activities and discussions are designed to enhance the foundational knowledge of community and government partner systems, ultimately improving relationships, cross-agency processes, collaboration, and outcomes.
