$4.7 million Harris County program will help women reenter society after jail

A $4.7 million program in Harris County aims to bring supportive programming to women housed in the Women’s Center jail. Approved by Commissioners Court in April 2023, funding will provide mental health support, trauma counseling, education and vocational training, substance abuse support, and other services.
